Terms of Service

Last updated: April 24, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MailGeni ("the Service"), operated by MailGeni ("we", "us") at mailgeni.ai and provided as a browser extension for Gmail and Outlook. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. What MailGeni does

MailGeni is an AI-assisted email workflow tool. It reads the email thread you have open, lets you dictate or type instructions, generates a draft reply using AI, and — when you choose — sends that reply or attaches signed documents to a reply on your behalf. It also offers inbox categorisation, voice transcription, PDF signing, email-open tracking, and calendar event creation.

3. Account and eligibility

  • You must be 13 or older to use MailGeni.
  • You are responsible for everything done under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
  • You must provide accurate information when you connect a Gmail or Microsoft account. Do not connect an account you are not authorised to use.

4. Your content and licence

You keep all rights to the email content, dictated audio, and text you produce using MailGeni ("Your Content"). By using the Service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process Your Content solely to deliver the features you request: sending it to our AI provider to generate a draft, to our transcription provider to convert audio to text, to Gmail or Microsoft Graph to send mail or create calendar events, and to store the minimum metadata we need (tracked open counts, preferences, OAuth tokens). We do not use Your Content to train AI models and we do not sell it.

5. AI-generated output

  • Drafts, summaries, labels, and categorisations produced by the Service are AI-generated and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Review every draft before sending.
  • You are solely responsible for the content you ultimately send. MailGeni does not send anything on your behalf without a direct action from you (clicking Send, confirming an attach).
  • Categorisation labels (Respond, Receipt, Meeting, etc.) are AI inferences and may miscategorise messages. Treat them as hints, not authoritative classifications.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to let anyone you authorise:

  • Use the Service to send spam, phishing, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or unlawful content.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract bulk data from the Service, except as allowed by applicable law.
  • Resell, sublicense, or re-host the Service or its output as a competing product.
  • Circumvent authentication, rate limits, or other technical controls.
  • Use the Service in violation of Google's API Services User Data Policy, Microsoft's APIs Terms of Use, or any applicable law or regulation.

7. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties — Clerk (auth), Supabase (database), Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (transcription), Google (Gmail API, Google Calendar), Microsoft (Graph, Outlook), Vercel (hosting). Your use of MailGeni is subject to those providers' terms as well. We are not responsible for their availability, changes to their APIs, or content they return. If a third party deprecates, rate-limits, or denies access to a capability, the corresponding MailGeni feature may change or stop working.

8. Email sending on your behalf

When you click Send inside MailGeni, we call Gmail API (for Google accounts) or Microsoft Graph (for Outlook accounts) using the OAuth tokens you provided and deliver the reply from your own address. The recipient sees the message as coming from you. You are responsible for the recipient, content, and timing of every message sent this way.

9. Fees

MailGeni may offer free and paid tiers. Pricing, usage limits, and features of each tier are described on our pricing page at the time you sign up. Paid plans renew on a rolling basis unless cancelled; you can cancel from your dashboard and retain access until the end of the current billing period. Taxes are your responsibility except where we are legally required to collect them.

10. Availability, "as is" disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, zero bugs, or that drafts will meet any particular standard. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will MailGeni, its owners, or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) £50.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold MailGeni harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or liability — including reasonable legal fees — made by a third party due to or arising out of (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, (b) the content you send through the Service, or (c) your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing drimranmalikuk@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, use the Service in a way that creates liability for us or other users, or if a third-party provider (Google, Microsoft) requires us to. On termination, we will erase your data per the retention rules in our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, email account holders at least 7 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
